A new year and a new blog from CSL Law.

We are a small firm of specialist solicitors based in central Croydon, providing expert advice on all aspects of family law, including divorce, which is especially pertinent in the New Year.

Unfortunately, the second full week back at work after Christmas and New Year is also the week when many people make the decision to get divorced or separated.

At this time of year we are all focused on the future and for some this can include dealing with problems in their relationships.  Being with your partner over the holiday period for a prolonged length of time may result in arguments and tension and this, combined with the New Year and looking for a new start, means that many decisions to divorce are taken.

A fresh start to the year and to your future life is always attractive. But here at CSL Law we advise that before you take such an important decision you must see how the legal landscape lies, especially if there are children involved.

We are certainly not celebrating a busy January because people ask us for divorce advice.  But we are pleased when our advice helps someone start a new life once they have decided that divorce or separation is the right decision for them and their family.  There can be many twists and turns along the way to divorce, therefore it is very important to obtain good legal advice on all your rights and ensure that it is applied in the right way.  We have helped and supported many people through this process to a satisfactory conclusion.

There are many common myths about divorce, and it might seem that everyone you speak to offers you a different opinion. It can all be very confusing and you might not know who to turn to for sound advice about divorce.  Our job is to take away all this confusion and provide you with clear advice tailored to your individual needs, so that you can get on with that fresh start.

If you are thinking about divorce at this time in the New Year, please contact us to arrange an appointment and explore the options available to you.
